The worlds most important poker tournament, World Series of Poker Main Event reached it’s finally state. The players left the tables and nine of them will come back in November to make decision about the most prestigious golden bracelet. In all time’s third biggest poker tournament 6865 players paid the ten thousand and entered the playing field this year ,but only nine of them have now the chance to be the winner and take home the massive $8,711,956 first prize.

The nine players needed 8 days to enter the final table. They come from all parts of the world: Belize, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Ireland, Ukraine and the United States and that proves being poker the most popular card game world wide. The nine players are Badih “Bob” Bou-Nahra, Phil Collins, Matt Giannetti, Pius Heinz, Sam Holden, Ben Lamb, Anton Makiievskyi, Eoghan O’Dea and Martin Staszko.

22 players started the final day with Anton Makiievskyi but he closed the day on the 8th. The tournament now takes a 108days break and they return to the Rio All Suite Las Vegas in November 5 to play the final table and continue the game at Level 36 for almost 35 minutes. Each of the finalists are now guaranteed $782,115 in prize money and 8 of them will become a millionaire.

At 31st May the worlds most important poker event launched. Now it’s a tradition, World Series of Poker 2011 started with the Casino Employees $500 No Limit Holdem Tournament and won by Sean Drake, a part time poker dealer from California. WSOP is the most prestigious poker tournament this year includes 58 poker events with about $180 million of total prize pool. The tournament is being held in Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas and will be finished on 19th July when the final table participants left.

Annie Duke is defiantly one of my favorite woman poker player. She is the second most winning woman player in the all time winning trail, right after kathy liebert, with a remarkable $1.6 million in career tournament earnings. But this is not why she earned my great appreciation. The thing about Annie Duke is her unique playing style. She is relaxed and communicative. If you watch her playing with other big shots in the field, you might be surprised that she manages to win at all. While most of the other poker players in the table tend to keep their eyes on the table, ware sun dark glasses or hide below a concealing hat, Annie Duke is completely open, uncovered, smiling, talking, joking around and keeping the atmosphere easy going and again, relaxed. Poker heads-up duel is when at the end of a poker tournament only two players remain in the competition and they are both very highly skilled in both knowledge and experience. The heads-up play will continue until one player has won all the chips on the table.

The World Heads-Up Poker Championship is held every year since 2001 across Europe. This successful tournament, launched on NBC in the United States, the National Heads-Up Poker Championship competition, which only invited players, can participate.

The goal is to win in six games in order to become the champion. The first round is to be distributed by all of the players against each other. There are four groups, which are : spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs. Winners of the semifinal between the groups formed compete against each other till there are only two left. The two finalists are competing to be the champion, who has two wins in the duel against another player.

NBC first Heads Up Champion of 2010 is Annie Duke. Annie Duke won the competition and took home a half-million-dollar prize while setting a new poker record for being the first woman poker heads-up competition winner.
